Kenneth Wiland is a residential architect based in Charleston, South Carolina. He strives to provide clients with elegant yet restrained architectural solutions grounded in the timeless principles of traditional construction methods. He believes in creating detailed working drawings which allow contractors to build on schedule and budget while minimizing unexpected costs and delays during construction.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Duke University in 2003, a Master of Architecture degree from Syracuse University in 2007, and completed a certificate program at the Harvard School of Design. He was trained by Oliver Cope and Douglas Wright in New York City from 2006 to 2013 prior to establishing his own practice.
Kenneth has experience working on projects in a variety of locations along the East Coast including Kiawah Island, The Hamptons, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Palm Beach, and Manhattan’s Upper East and Upper West Sides. Early in his career he won a national design competition judged by acclaimed interior designers Clodagh and Laura Kirar featured in Architectural Digest.
Kenneth and his wife, Ashley, reside in Charleston, South Carolina with their two sons.
